Short version: Owl Mode doesn't collect anything about you.

The app

Owl Mode runs entirely on your Mac. It has no account, no analytics and makes no network connections. It reads your battery level and whether the lid is closed, and keeps a small log on your own Mac (~/Library/Logs/Owl Mode.log) so you can see what it did.

If you turn on an AI agent integration (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or Gemini CLI), Owl Mode adds hooks to that agent's settings. Those hooks only mark a session as working or done. Your code, prompts and output are never stored or sent anywhere.

If you turn on “Text me when it's done”, Owl Mode asks the Messages app on your Mac to send an iMessage to the number or Apple ID you entered. The night log stays on your Mac.

This website

No cookies and no tracking. Our host keeps standard server logs, as every website host does.

Payments

Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the seller and processes your payment details under its own privacy policy. We receive your name and email address so we can send you the download and help if something goes wrong.
